Review

The Wind Weaver (Reign of Remnants #1)

🔗Author: Julie Johnson
This is the author’s debut novel.

Highlights

It kept you involved in the plot. Many things happen. It’s a promising beginning to this series.

What to Expect

  • Enemies to lovers
  • Slow burn romance
  • Love triangle
  • Protectiveness
  • Fae vs humans
  • Elemental magic
  • Prophecy
  • Tragedy and death
  • Multiple enemy fronts
  • Troubled past

What I Missed

  • I had some whiplash with the romance; one step forward and back to square one over and over. And, it seems this dynamic will continue in the sequel. So, I want to see more of an evolution in the couple surmounting their obstacles.
🥀
I’m beginning to see a Tamlin-Rhysand situation (from A Court of Thorns and Roses), but we haven’t had enough interactions to form a real connection with the “Rhysand” of this story. We’ll have to see how the sequel unfolds.
